Board of the European Peer Review Association
The board of the European Peer Review Association was newly elected in October 2014. It is currently made up of members of the original team working on the European Peer Review projects between 2004 and 2009.
The following people are involved: Maria Gutknecht-Gmeiner (Chair), Ingrid Smutny (Vice-chair, treasurer), Bill Stalker (Vice-chair, secretary)
Auditors are Thomas Wallisch (AT) and Angela Kühn (DE). The auditors are by statutes not part of the board.
Maria Gutknecht-Gmeiner (Chair)
Maria Gutknecht-Gmeiner has more than 15 years of experience in research and development projects on the European level. She coordinated the original European Peer Review projects ( www.peer-review-education.net) and has done extensive research on Peer Review as an instrument of quality assurance in a professional context.
Since 2010 she is the director of
IMPULSE - Evaluation and organisation development,
in Vienna, Austria.

Ingrid Smutny (Vice-chair, treasurer)
Ingrid Smutny used to be a teacher for fashion and design at the Herbststraße College in Vienna for many years. Currently, she is course coordinator for Fashion and Deigns at the Pädgagogische Hochschule Wien (Pedagogical University Vienna).
Bill Stalker (Vice-chair, secretary)
Bill Stalker was a member of the original European Peer Review Project in his capacity as European Projects Director of Aberdeen College, Scotland.
He was previously a Lecturer in Social and Health Care Studies at the College and, before then, worked as an Administrator and Manager in the Health Service in North East Scotland. Bill and his College were also involved in a European Gender Mainstreaming project with partners from Germany, Luxembourg and Lithuania and Gender Mainstreaming became an integral part of the European Peer Review Manual.
Bill currently acts as an examination invigilator for North East Scotland College and Robert Gordon University and acts as a volunteer inspector for the Care Inspectorate of the Scottish Government.
