EPRA, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) and the Vienna Chamber of Labour (Arbeiterkammer Wien) are hosting a conference on Quality development in VNFIL.

There will be presentations of the national validation strategy and the European Peer Review procedure as well as a panel discussion on the quality of VNFIL in professional practice.

In the afternoon, participants can choose between 5 workshops, followed by a panel discussion on the future of the practice of VNFIL.

After hosting an international QualiTools webinar in April 2017 (for link to the recording see the article below), EPRA will offer a QualiTools workshop for managers in Vienna on the 10th of October 2017.

A special focus will be put on how to implement the QualiTools methods in educational facilities on the management level.

After one year of internatonal work on QualiTools and bottom-up quality assurance, the first results are available online and the methods are ready to be tested!

On the 4th of April 2017, EPRA  hosted a free international webinar about the project and the different Quali Tools.The recording of the webinar is online now.

The next transnational project meeting will take place on 20/21 of June in Birmingham.

The Peer Review Manual and the toolbox have been adapted to VNFIL. A 5-day European Peer training was held in Vienna in June 2016. Ready-to-test versions of the Peer Review VNFIL Manual and the Toolbox are also available from EPRA.

At the moment, Peer Review is being piloted in all partner countries in 11 pilot peer reviews. The Peer Reviews are transnational with two Peers coming from another country.

Next Peer Reviews: 13.02.2017 in France, mid-March in Austria.

In addition, we are planning to offer European trainings in quality assurance and Peer Review in 2017-2018. They will be online (webinars) or face-to-face. For latter, you will be able to request Erasmus+ funding. Please make sure to include this in your KA1 mobility proposals

After the best practice award to Peer Review Extended II, the sequel project "Peer Review Impact" has now also been selected as one of the "Best Leonardo da Vinci Cooperation Projects 2007-2011".

During the past year, EPRA has started its activities and also managed to secure some funding. Most importantly, the experience of this spring has shown that it is possible to fund transnational Peer Reviews through Erasmus+.

For the coming months, a number of activities are planned to prepare European partnership projects to carry out Peer Review.

In an upcoming online meeting on Dec. 9, 2014, 2-4 pm, ideas will be exchanged and further steps discussed.

On February 27 and 28, 2014, the preparatory meeting of the European Peer Review Association (EPRA) took place at the Hertha Firnberg Schools in Vienna. 

The European Peer Review Network has started its activities. The network is currently planning a first round of transnational European Peer Reviews which will take place between 2014 and 2016. Institutions of education and training are invited to indicate their interest in becoming part of this endeavour.

The European Peer Review Association will hold a first meeting of network members on 13.12.2013. The meeting will be online. It will provide a first exchange between members and the discussion of ideas for future activities.

 On May 7-8, 2013 the conference "Building tomorrow's Europe - Perspectives for young people" took place in Bonn. For conference details see the conference site. The workshop "Professionalisation of youth work" on May 8, 2013, was dedicated to cross-border European Peer Learning in youth work.

The project P.R.I.S.D.O.Q. will hold its final conference in Perugia, Italy, on September 27, 2013. 

Final conference of 2nd Italian Peer Review project brought together national and regional authorities and schools and training centers. Project participants confirmed Peer Review as a flexible and friendly way to combine self-evaluation and external evaluation. Peer Review to be continued in Italy based on a national Peer Register. Cooperation with European Peer Review Network is anticipated. 

„European Peer Review Association“  founded in March 2013 by members of the original European Peer Review projects as non-profit membership association.The Association will promote the European Peer Review based on the methodology developed in the European projects. Next steps will be the development of the network and its future activities (e.g. training, network meeting) jointly with its members.
