Quality Areas
Two sets of European quality areas exist to date: for initial VET and for guidance and counselling.
European Quality Areas for initial VET
The 14 European Quality Areas were developed for initial vocational education and training. They were elaborated and revised in the projects "Peer Review in inital VET", "Peer Review Extended" and "Peer Review Extended II". They can be adapted to other sectors.
They are specified by means of criteria, examples of indicators and sources of evidence: Each Quality Area is defined by a set of criteria. Additionally, the criteria are further specified by indicators which serve to exemplify the criteria. The sources of evidence indicate examples and suggestions as to where and how the specific requirements for the indicators can be allocated and documented.

European Quality Areas for Educational and Vocational Guidance for Adults
The 9 European Quality Areas for Educational and Vocational Guidance for Adults were developed in the project EuroPeerGuid. The quality areas are again specified by criteria and indicators.
